Celebrating Black History Month

We hope this message finds you well. We would like to inform you that report cards will be sent home with students on Thursday, February 12. Please take time to review your child’s progress and celebrate their accomplishments.

As we continue through the month of February, our students will remain engaged in our Black History Month celebration, where they will be learning all they can about Black history, culture, and contributions. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education.” This quote reflects the values we strive to instill in our students each day.

We would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to our parents and guardians for the continued support you provide in helping our students grow and succeed outside of the classroom. Your partnership is invaluable. In addition, we thank our dedicated staff for their ongoing commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences within the classroom.

As we approach the end of the school year, we are beginning to gear up for OST State Testing, which will take place in the spring. More information will be shared as we get closer, and we appreciate your continued support in helping students prepare for success.

Finally, thank you to all parents and guardians for your prompt response to Friday’s early dismissal due to weather conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of our students and staff.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

Sincerely,

Mr. Lanthorn

Principal At A+ Arts Academy
