A Successful Transition to High School
8th Grade High School Visits – March 5th & March 6th.
We are excited to announce that our 8th grade scholars will be participating in two important high school visits:
On March 5, students will visit Franklinton High School.
On March 6, The Charles School will be visiting A+ Arts Academy to meet with our 8th grade scholars.
These visits are designed to help prepare students for a successful transition to high school. Scholars will learn about academic programs, graduation pathways, extracurricular opportunities, and expectations for high school success. Experiences like these help our students begin envisioning their future and making informed decisions about their next academic steps. We are incredibly proud of our 8th graders as they prepare for this important milestone.
Preparing for Spring State Testing (OST)
We are actively gearing up to support our scholars as they prepare for the upcoming Ohio State Tests (OST) this spring. Our teachers and staff are working diligently to provide targeted instruction, small group support, review sessions, and strategic practice opportunities to ensure students feel confident and prepared.
These assessments measure student growth and academic progress, and we are committed to helping every scholar succeed—not only on the test but throughout their entire academic career. Families can assist by encouraging consistent attendance, ensuring students get plenty of rest, and maintaining communication with teachers.
End of Third Quarter – March 27
Please remember that the end of the 3rd quarter is March 27. We encourage parents and guardians to review grades, monitor progress, and connect with teachers regarding any questions or concerns before the quarter concludes.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Staff
We extend our deepest appreciation to our dedicated staff members. Every day, our teachers, support staff, instructional aides, office personnel, custodial team, and leadership team go above and beyond to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for our scholars. Their work extends far beyond instruction—they mentor, encourage, advocate, and inspire. The long hours spent planning, analyzing student data, differentiating instruction, and building strong relationships truly make a difference in the lives of our children. Our school continues to grow and thrive because of their passion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to student success.
Thank You to Our Parents and Guardians
To our families—thank you for your partnership and trust. Allowing us to educate and care for your children each day is a responsibility we hold with great honor. Your involvement, communication, and encouragement at home play a vital role in your child’s success. When schools and families work together, students benefit academically, socially, and emotionally. We appreciate your continued support and the confidence you place in us.
