Welcome From Our Principal

Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Community Members,

My name is Karen Gullatt, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of A+ Arts Academy. I am excited to join a school community that values academic excellence, creativity, and meaningful relationships.

I am a wife and mother of four children—ages 14, 12, and six-year-old twins. My family keeps me grounded and continually inspires my passion for strong leadership, structure, relationships, and the importance of balance. Through them, I deeply value partnership, transparency, perseverance, and community support.

With 19 years of experience in education, I have served in a variety of roles that strengthened my commitment to student achievement, staff development, and family engagement. I believe strong schools are built through collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to student success and community.

As principal, I am committed to fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive. This summer, I am taking time to learn more about the traditions, accomplishments, and aspirations that make A+ Arts Academy unique, and I look forward to building upon those strengths alongside students, families, and staff.
